Your first visit

What to Expect

We know starting therapy can feel overwhelming — especially for families with young children. Here's a simple overview of what your first visit will look like.

01

Check In

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork. Our friendly front desk team will greet you and get you settled.

02

Initial Evaluation

Your therapist will conduct a thorough evaluation to understand your child's or your own needs, goals, and medical history. This typically takes 45–60 minutes.

03

Goal Setting

Together, you and your therapist will establish personalized treatment goals and discuss a recommended plan of care tailored to your specific needs.

04

Begin Your Journey

Once your insurance has approved services, subsequent sessions build on your evaluation. Most patients are seen 1–2 times per week depending on their plan of care and availability.

What to Bring

  • Photo ID (parent or guardian ID for pediatric patients)
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Completed intake forms online
  • Referral or prescription from your physician
  • Any relevant medical records, imaging, or prior therapy notes
  • Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement
